Learn what it takes to take care of great kids like Piper.
This is a great story seen daily by developmental optometrists around the world. Piper’s life was forever altered because her very difficult vision was appropriately managed at an early age by an optometrist, all thanks to her parents.
Piper is very farsighted, and that means much more than simply having blurred vision: Farsightedness causes the eyes to experience unusual and even painful strain. This strain is worse while viewing near objects, such as computers, books and handheld devices. Farsighted children are more likely to experience medical problems and trouble in school. Part of Piper’s delightful response is from the relief that comes from releasing that muscle strain.
